Passages: exploring the South Island's unique topography

Solo exhibition – Millennium Art Gallery, Blenheim
7 December 2013 until 26 January 2014

Compelling, physical and diverse, Passages represents over three years work expanding on the artistic vision and the concepts which earned Joanna Dudson Scott a place in the finals of the 2009 Wallace Art Awards. Joanna's distinctive style turns another corner, pushing the dimensions and physicality of her ideas in a new direction. Passes and pathways carved by nature are woven into the artist's vision. Cleverly executed dimensions and textured surfaces deliver a sensory experience where a moment in the landscape is an exploration of ideas layered into the canvas.
